::: GENERAL SESSION :::

    Abstracts from all areas of formal linguistics and from any theoretical perspective are invited for 20-minute talks in the general session.

 
::: SPECIAL SESSION :::

    Experimental Approaches to Theoretical Linguistics: Abstracts from fields such as psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, computational linguistics, and phonetics that address issues in theoretical linguistics using experimental methods are also invited for 20-minute talks in this special session.

    Deadline for receipt of abstracts:  November 15, 2002. To download a PDF of this announcement, click here.

 
::: ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS :::

    NOTE: Any person may submit at most one abstract as sole author, and at most two abstracts in total. Abstract text should be single-spaced on one 8.5x11 inch page, in 11-point type or larger and with one inch margins on all sides; an additional page for data, tables, figures, charts, and/or references may also be included. Abstracts for the special session should incorporate a clear summary of experimental methods used. Submit by e-mail or by snail-mail:

      Send an e-mail message to wccfl-22@ling.ucsd.edu. Attach an anonymous, Acrobat-readable PDF or Ghostscript-readable Postscript file of the abstract. The subject line of the message should read ABSTRACT, and the body of the message should include the following information: 
        1. Title of the paper
        2. Area (phonology, syntax, etc.)
        3. Session (general, special, no preference)
        4. Name of author(s)
        5. Affiliation(s)
        6. Snail-mail address(es)
        7. E-mail address(es)
        8. Phone number (optional)
      By Snail-mail (if absolutely necessary)
      Please mail ten anonymous copies of the abstract and a 3x5-inch index card with the information outlined above. Send to:
