Esperanto
Prospective Students
There are two ways to study Esperanto at UCSD
- During the regular Academic Year: Esperanto is one of the languages offered in our Linguistics/Directed Study 19 program. This allows you to study the language on your own using DVD and Internet resources. A total of 4 credits is available. This is usually done over a period of 2 quarters (2 credits each quarter).
- During Summer: Classes in Esperanto are offered in our Summer program. In general, 5B (2nd-quarter Esperanto) is the lowest level offered, so students are advised to complete the Linguistics/Directed Study 19 program first before studying in Summer.
